Todos os centros de hipertermia aderiram ao estatuto e c\u00f3digo de \u00e9tica propostos pela SIIO. Foram aprovados e propostos os seguintes temas:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"padding-left: 20px;\">\n<li>Promover a dissemina\u00e7\u00e3o de conhecimento em <strong>Termoterapia<\/strong> e \u00e1reas afins atrav\u00e9s de publica\u00e7\u00f5es, reuni\u00f5es e simp\u00f3sios educacionais.<\/li>\n<li>Incentivar o avan\u00e7o da Hipertermia em todas as \u00e1reas das ci\u00eancias m\u00e9dicas.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitar a investiga\u00e7\u00e3o cooperativa entre as disciplinas de <strong>f\u00edsica, engenharia, biologia, qu\u00edmica e medicina<\/strong> no estudo das propriedades e efeitos da Hipertermia na Medicina, incluindo perfus\u00f5es hipert\u00e9rmicas viscerais e de membros, tratamentos a Laser e abla\u00e7\u00f5es por Radiofrequ\u00eancia.<\/li>\n<li>Organizar uma base de dados nacional relativa a tumores tratados com hipertermia: tipo, estadio, linha de terapia, resultados terap\u00eauticos, toxicidades e sobreviv\u00eancia.<\/li>\n<li>Definir novos <strong>protocolos integrados (Fase II e III)<\/strong> de quimio-hipertermia, radio-hipertermia, imuno-hipertermia e medicina paliativa-hipertermia.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 style=\"color: #1a2a6c; margin-top: 25px;\">Resultados<\/h4>\n<p>            A recolha dos dados preliminares obtidos est\u00e1 em fase de processamento. Aproximadamente <strong>tr\u00eas mil doentes<\/strong> s\u00e3o tratados com hipertermia anualmente em It\u00e1lia (86% em cl\u00ednicas privadas, 14% em hospitais p\u00fablicos), todos em fase metast\u00e1tica com recidiva ap\u00f3s quimioterapia e radioterapia, com uma esperan\u00e7a de vida entre 3 a 24 meses.<\/p>\n<p>            Cada doente recebeu, em m\u00e9dia, <strong>onze sess\u00f5es de hipertermia<\/strong> (intervalo 3\u201328) utilizando diferentes tipos de dispositivos: <strong>Andromedic (HyDeep 600WM)<\/strong>, Oncotherm, BSD, Celsius, Syncrotherm. A dura\u00e7\u00e3o do tratamento foi de 55 minutos, com 2\u20133 sess\u00f5es semanais. 50% dos doentes receberam quimioterapia \u00fanica em doses personalizadas e 90% receberam terapias integrativas e de suporte. Foi dada especial aten\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 avalia\u00e7\u00e3o da melhoria da qualidade de vida dos doentes utilizando a <strong>escala ESAS<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"color: #1a2a6c; margin-top: 25px;\">Conclus\u00f5es<\/h4>\n<p>            A SIIO visa expandir o paradigma terap\u00eautico atrav\u00e9s do aumento num\u00e9rico de centros de hipertermia e da forma\u00e7\u00e3o de m\u00e9dicos especialistas, t\u00e9cnicos e enfermeiros.
